-Decorate heavily: Stickers, rhinestones, glitter, face gems, hair clips, leg warmers, tons of bracelets. Over-accessorizing is THE vibe.
- Look at old mags: Egg, Ageha, and early 2000s gyaru magazines are treasure troves for authentic manba looks. They all can be found online, so no worries
- Confidence first: Own it, even if it feels “too much” at first. But if it feels like putting on a mask instead of being yourself STOP IMMEDIATELY and keep looking for your style❀

-Don’t be afraid of looking “extra” – If you hold back too much, it won’t read as manba.
-Don't compare yourself to pros right away: Early 2000s manbas were very extreme. Start small (lighter tan, simpler outfit) and build up.
-Don’t get discouraged by reactions – Manba is shocking by design. People might stare or comment, even online. That’s part of the spirit.
-Don't fill up your eye droop with white if you're just learning the makeup, it's giving doll cosplay, not gal :(
-Don't mix too many substyles because they represent different stuff (Hime Gyaru= Princess inspired, Agejo= Hostess lifestyle, Amekaji=“American casual.”, Rokku Gyaru=Rock/Visual kei inspired gyaru) THEY'RE DIFFERENT
